Replacement bearing for 1987-1988 4-Cylinder drivebelt tensioner. If your engine is making a squeaking or grinding noise, this may be the problem. Instead of buying the entire expensive assembly from GM, you can buy just the bearing and install it yourself for less. Easy to press out the old one and press in this new one. Note: This product fixes only the serpent idler pulley. Before ordering this product, inspect the pivot for the tensioner spring arm. If the spring arm is worn or damaged the whole tensioner assembly must be replaced. There is presently no way to fix the arm. |
