These add-on external bearing assemblies fit all Fiero transmissions automatic and manual 4 and 5 speeds. As the transmissions in our Fiero's get up in mileage, there exists the possibility of the differential bearings failing. To greatly help extend the life of a higher mileage transmission these extra bearings may be added to take some stress off the internal bearings. These are true roller bearing assemblies and have an oil seal built in (a standard type replaceable seal).
These are very nice for any transmission, low or high mileage. A small investment now may save you a lot of money in the future. Should be used in pairs on manual transmissions!

Please note:
These add on bearings can only be used if you have no looseness in your differential bearings. They can not be used on transmissions where the differential bearings are loose. These add on bearings are to be used to extend the life of good differential bearings. Not correct loose differential bearings. One good way to see if the differential bearings on your transmission are loose is to grab one axle and lift it up and down. If the differential bearings are loose the other axle will also move some up and down. There will be, of course, some play on the axle you lift up and down. That is normal.
A better way is to remove the axles and OEM axle seals and push the differential back and forth and up and down. There should be no play up and down or left to right.
