Polyurethane Transmission Mounts
This is a heavy duty upgrade from the stock rubber Fiero transmission mounts. The brackets are made from laser cut 3/16" steel. Jig welded to ensure an accurate fit. The polyurethane part of this mount has an interlocking design which means that even if the polyurethane would fail they will never separate. High strength bolts and locking type nuts are used throughout. The bolts that mount them to the cradle are welded in like the factory originals. No need to reach up and use 2 wrenches to tighten the bolts/nuts. All mounting bolts and nuts are included.
When you install these poly trans mounts you may want to consider an adjustable poly dog bone. Once these poly trans mounts are installed, there will be little movement to allow the stock length dog bone to be reused. To ensure a proper fit, consider the use of my adjustable poly dog bone.Note: If these are used with a V-8 installation please note that these mounts are wider than the stock rubber mount. My mounts are about 8 mm wider on each side when compared to the factory type rubber mounts. I mention this as many that install V-8's in Fieros have to move the mount over towards the drivers side and this may limit that. I have seen some cut 8 mm (More if need be) off my mount and drill it and use 2 smaller (8 mm or 5/16") flat head screws(I do not offer this service).
NOTE: Fits all year 1984-1988 Fiero. V-6 and 4 cylinder. Manual or automatic transmission.
