Easy To Install OEM Style Catalytic Converter
Replace your old worn out OEM Catalytic Converter with this OEM look replacement. This OEM look cat. Converter offers two advantages over a stock aftermarket converter. If welded in, it maintains a look that is very similar to the Fiero GM OEM Cat converter. This converter also has a small muffling chamber in it and it will be slightly quieter than typical aftermarket replacement converters. It is designed to be used with the OEM exhaust system. It will slip over the old pipes when you cut out the OEM converter. I may offer variations of this converter in the future for aftermarket exhausts if I see enough demand.

The original exhaust system on the Fiero is made from 409 stainless steel.
It will surface rust but lasts a very very long time. The original GM catalytic converter is very restrictive
and a nice horsepower gain is achieved when it is replaced by a freer flowing unit.
To install this converter requires you to cut the OEM converter out of the exhaust system.
The original converter is welded to the inlet and outlet exhaust pipes.
If you saw off the converter you end up with a double layer for the new converter set up to go over.
This converter will go over those 2 layers of pipe once the old converter is removed.
My replacement OEM look catalytic converter kit for OEM exhaust system is high quality.
I start with a
High Flow 409 Stainless Steel 2 1/4" in/out catalytic converter.
I then add an extension to the inlet and outlet which is expanded to go over the 2 layer OEM exhaust pipes where
the old converter was removed. These extensions are welded on making the kit very solid.
These extensions are also 409 stainless steel.
I include 2 top quality 304 stainless steel exhaust clamps!
